My Amber series* plectrums are made from Ultem, a plastic of moderate density with great wear characteristics. With a bright tone and full attack, the Amber series provide a great increase to clarity. When warm from playing, they become noticeably grippier.

*Amber series currently vary in hue as shown in the product photos. 6-8mm picks are typically a darker orange, 5mm grey in colour, 3-4mm yellow/cream. This may vary with batches.

The thickness of these picks encourages a more relaxed grip whilst delivering a weightier attack with less effort. Due to the tapered ergonomic design, they feel significantly smaller and less cumbersome than the thickness measurement may imply. With smooth bevelled edges and a precise sharp tip, Winspear Picks give a precise playing experience and glide over the strings effortlessly.

The Shuriken Is A Delight

The 6mm shuriken is definitely flat—it’s exceptionally thick at the tip—but it plays great. Feels shorter in-hand compared to other shapes I’ve tried (even though it’s technically the same length as the Broadsword), but the wide surface gives a secure grip. That thickness isn’t a problem at all for me. A solid pick for punchy playing styles. At the price point I’d say if you already like thick picks, you should give it a try.

Finally found the one

I thought I loved the 1.5mm Shuriken Mini, but after trying the 3mm version I can safely say this is the best pick I have ever had the privilege to play.

Great picks

The tapered shivs are fantastic for pinch grip playing, they really help with speed and feel!

The only issue with this pick is…

…you won’t ever want to use anything else. Helps with picking hand fatigue, fast lines and patterns become easier and more precise and grip issues disappear

Surprising

The battleaxe is by far the largest pick I've ever seen, but I was surprised that it didn't feel cumbersome at all and after 10 minutes I'd forgotten it was a large pick. Super fun for lead playing.
